Making the simple complicated that is common place . Making the complicated simple, awesomely simple, that's creativity.
Charles Mingus.

Look how complicated we have made the whole business of eating and choosing foods. There are so many contradictory reports out there, one year they say "eat oat bran" the next year "oat bran is bad for you." They say eggs are high in cholesterol and the next article says they are a great source of protein and don't worry about the cholesterol. So who are we to believe? I have yet to see a Surgeon General report saying: "Listening to your body may be hazardous to your health."

In the Aware Eating process, you learn to trust in the body's wisdom. In this class, Yes ,you can trust your Body, you discover that when it comes to eating, the body is the ultimate authority. Every body is unique and the body really wants high octane fuel to run on. It loves to have foods that are high in "life force"; that is close to the earth, fresh, full of juice. When you eat what your body wants, you will come into alignment with your source, you experience the peace that comes when you end the war with your body. You may have noticed that the mind often overrides messages from your body. The mind loves to make things complicated, "mentalizing" is its job. And that's where we become confused and forget to listen the wisest teacher of all that is always with us, our body.

There are only 3 relevant questions to ask yourself before you eat:

1. Am I hungry?

2. If yes, what does my body want to eat?

3. If no, what is it that I really want?

If you practice just this little bit you will begin to distinguish the urges that come from the mind rather than the body. Ultimately, the natural way of eating boils down to some very simple practices. Elegantly simple. What would it be like for you to eat in a way that frees you from obsession around food, to live your life with the energy, joy and vitality that is your birthright? If you would like to explore the answer to this question, I would warmly invite you to join us in the next Aware Eating class. See get started for class schedule.

I really hope you can join us!!
