Tara, from the ancient Tibetan tradition, was the first female who vowed to become enlightened in a woman's body. In Tibet, praises are chanted in her name for she is the goddess of compassion. Tara sits on a lotus, her hands held in sacred mudras, with one foot tucked under symbolizing her deep state of meditation and the other foot extending out to alleviate the suffering of all sentient beings. I received this vision of Tara in the universe, blessing the solar system that radiates from her belly. May this painting of the sacred feminine remind you to be gentle on yourself and that, no matter what you are going through, divine compassion is always present.
